Hello
My name is Angel Miranda.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. After high school, I joined AmeriCorps, which gave me the opportunity to live in several states, including Texas and Florida.
My parents instilled in me a deep desire to help others through volunteer work from a young age. That passion eventually led me to Houston, Texas, where I worked to rebuild homes damaged by Hurricane Harvey. I served two terms as an AmeriCorps member with SBP, a nonprofit organization formerly known as the St. Bernard Project. My experience with SBP and the homeowners we served taught me two important lessons: a home provides families with safety and security, and I wanted to pursue my passion for Interior Architecture.
Now in my senior year, I’m pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at George Washington University, driven by a desire to create spaces that are both functional and restorative.
